LIVE STRUCTURE FIRE...

On Saturday, March 29th firefighters from Warrenton Fire Protection District were able to feel the heat on what a live structure fire can do. Warrenton Fire Protection District firefighters had several scenarios that dealt with basement fire, structure fire, tank and propane fire.  This was  an all day class held at Warrenton Fire station one. The class was put on by the Local Training Specialists, LLC. or LETS-Train. The structure fire class started at 9 a.m. with classroom instruction in the morning and then in the afternoon live fire and practical skills were performed.

In the afternoon the fire department went through many scenarios and everyone that participated, had a very well instructed class to learn about the different types of fires.  Also during the afternoon the ladder truck was used to practice going to the roof and opening the roof for ventilation.  During these scenarios safety is always a concern so the Warrenton Ambulance District was available if any problem should occur.
